Inspired by solo time in the forest, I explore standing alone in accountable silence allowing it to penetrate my call to action. Through my muse of the Wandering Women I capture the pause and reflection of stillness in a snow covered forest. Acrylic paint, glazes and gestural brush strokes are used to interpret the dance of light through a bare forest and the quality of remaining open to sensations that arise. The color palette reflects the assimilation and examination of freedom, safety and fear as they arise and depart.
My work is about the insight and perspective gained through solitude in nature. It is about how this time reveals itself and aligns us to our innate inner wisdom.
